Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Kreneau
Getting started
Click the 'Create a sheet' button on the homepage. Your sheet will be created instantly and you'll be taken to it immediately. No registration or account creation is required!
No! Kreneau works without any registration. Simply create a sheet and share the link with your participants. Anyone with the link can view and sign up for slots.
Click the 'Share' button in the header of your sheet. On mobile, the native share menu opens (WhatsApp, Messages, etc.). On desktop, the link is copied to your clipboard and you can paste it anywhere - email, messaging apps, social media. Anyone with the link can access your sheet.
Edit mode
Edit Mode allows anyone with the sheet link to modify the sheet - adding or removing days and slots, editing titles, and managing the sheet structure. Click the 'Edit' button in the header to enable it. Click 'Stop Editing' when you're done.
Click the 'Edit' button in the header of your sheet. The button will change to 'Stop Editing' when Edit Mode is active. Anyone with the sheet link can enable Edit Mode.
In Edit Mode, you can: add new days and slots, edit day titles and slot descriptions, set minimum and maximum participants per slot, delete days and slots, duplicate days and slots, and edit the sheet title and emoji.
Sheet structure
In Edit Mode, click the 'Duplicate Week' button at the bottom of the sheet. A list of available weeks is displayed. Select the week to copy: it will be duplicated into the first empty future week. All slots and their settings are duplicated, but registrations are not copied. Perfect for recurring weekly schedules!
The template lets you define a recurring weekly pattern (7 days with their slots). In Edit Mode, click « Template », create or edit your template (days and slots), then save it. You can pre-fill it from an existing week. Once saved, you can generate 1 to 4 weeks at once: choose the template start day and the number of weeks to add. New days are added without copying sign-ups. Ideal for recurring weekly schedules!
Enable Edit Mode, then click the delete button (trash icon) on the day or slot you want to remove. You'll be asked to confirm the deletion. Note: Deleting a day will remove all its slots and participants. This action cannot be undone.
Enable Edit Mode, then click the edit icon (pencil) next to your sheet title. You can change the title text and select an emoji to personalize your sheet. Click the checkmark to save your changes.
Sign-up
Participants click 'Sign Up' on any available slot. A window opens where they enter their name (and optionally a comment), then click 'Sign Up' to confirm. No account needed!
You can set a custom maximum number of participants when creating or editing a slot in Edit Mode. If no maximum is set, there's no limit to how many participants can sign up for a slot.
Roles are optional and let you offer several "positions" within the same slot. In Edit Mode, when adding or editing a slot, use the "Roles" section to add roles: name, optional emoji, and minimum or maximum number of participants per role. When signing up, participants choose a role. If you don't configure any roles, the slot works as before with a single max number of participants for the whole slot. You can add up to 7 roles per slot. Roles are displayed in the order you set: reorder them by dragging a role by its handle, or with the up/down arrows.
General information
Sheets are automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity. If a sheet hasn't been accessed or modified for 90 days, it will be permanently removed. Active sheets (that are regularly used) will remain available indefinitely.
Each sheet can contain at most 42 days from today onward: only future days (and today) count toward this limit; past days are not counted. When the limit is reached, the buttons to add or duplicate a day are disabled; you can delete future days to add more. "Duplicate week" and "Generate from template" only add complete weeks (if there isn't room for 7 days, nothing is added). Each day can contain at most 21 slots; the "Add slot" button is disabled when a day already has 21.
Yes! Kreneau is fully responsive and works great on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. The interface is optimized for touch screens, making it easy to create sheets and sign up for slots on the go.
